| Plant Name | | SISYRINCHIUM macounii Album | | Plant Description | | SHADE. Tiny teardrops of white as each bud appears then unfurls into a sweet little iris like flower. Heaps of buds all over the plant during mid to late spring. It may even have a smattering of flowers in autumn.
The grassy foliage flattens out to almost horizontal, the clump spreading gently to around 30cm over the season. Easy to lift & divide in mid autumn.
Grow in light shade, as it resents being fried in our summer sun. Good for wee borders, rockery, pots & with other similar plants in a large container. Ideal under deciduous shrubs & small trees.
Average moisture over summer for this one. Easy to grow. Evergreen. Hardy.
