| Plant Name | | VERONICA spicata White | | Plant Description | | SUN. This is the companion to the Nana Blue. Rather hard to
locate, this is one of my favourites for the mid border. Clean
mid-green narrow foliage in a clump that sprouts thin stems
terminating in a spire of perfectly white tiny flowers.
The display lasts for months over summer & well into autumn
if the spent stems are removed. The bees seem to like the
flowers for a food source. It is a fuss-free, easy to grow plant
that likes good soil in full sun, with a little fertiliser early spring &
late summer, along with most of the rest of the well tended
garden. With adequate water in dry periods, & good airflow,
this plant will delight wee visitors especially, if you call the
flowers 'Fairy Spires'. Ht around 60cm, spread 40cm.
Cut back to the ground for winter. Briefly Winter dormant,
very hardy.
